Prospective Travellers Sites

Following the withdrawl of the proposal to locate a Travellers site in the Parish last year, the Leicestershire County Council has used a number of criteria to identify suitable locations for transit site provision, and following application of the criteria is proposing to develop a site at one of the following locations:
• Site 1, Land to the north of Ashby Road Sinope.
• Site 2, The former Slaughterhouse, Ashby Road, Sinope.
• Site 3, Land behind the former Snibston Junior School.

As a Parish we are naturally pleased that the undertaking made by the Leader of the Council not to site such a facility in this Parish has been maintained. We will continue to keep a close eye on developments. The consultation document is below.
